The hospital food

I am not particularly fond of the hospital food. It does not taste as good as the food you eat at home. I wish I was a better cook, then my imaginary friend Ruth and I could make some muffins for my owner.

I remember when my owner had a major surgery and could not eat solid food for four weeks. All she did was to wish she could eat pizza. It was pizza talk every day, but all she got was mashed potatoes and mashed meat with lots of sauce. That did not taste like pizza at all and she pouted the whole time.

After the four weeks had gone, the first thing my owner asked for was pizza. The nurses felt so sorry for her so they fixed her some pizza for dinner. That was very nice of them. I did steal some pepperoni, but my owner slapped my hand because she wanted to eat the whole pizza on her own. She really gets grumpy when she is hungry!

Have you tried to crack an egg with a hammer? What a mess!

I did that once when I was going to make muffins for my owner. The egg flew across the room instead of into the bowl that I had aimed for. Boy, did she yell at me!

It all ended up with her cleaning up the mess in the kitchen (mumbling words I was not able to hear) then she made a big load of muffins and a cup of hot cocoa for me. Some of you might think I did plan it all to happen like that but my intention was to surprise her. It just did not end as I had hoped for. Besides, my owners muffins taste a lot better than the muffins I would make.
